Home sweet home.
1 comment so farOther thing to think about before going to university: a dor-mi-to-ry. A word that caused me multiple headaches today T T. One whole day in Leuven and 5 different dormitories…I thought that this would be an easy part - wrong thought! I have my Top 3, but it’s hard too chose between nr.1 and nr.2! The battle goes on between ‘Studentenwijk Arenberg’ and ‘Pius X’ (Johannes XXIII earned a 3rd place (; )
Studentenwijk Arenberg (http://www.kuleuven.be/cite/)
+ bigger rooms, more international students
- too many students o-o (820!), not enough common rooms
Pius X (http://pius.studentenweb.org/)
+ newer rooms, furniture and showers (!), bigger common room, nicer kitchens XD
- smaller rooms
Well, I’d go for Arenberg, but…the number of students does really scare me and the lack of common rooms too. Pius on the other hand has smaller rooms (but bigger halls XD). Bleh, I want to have it all!
To Mac or not to Mac?

Now I’m working with a 6-year old Fujitsu notebook: old, slow and just a real pain in the ass. Sometimes I’m even afraid of opening my Photoshop because of the fear that the system will freeze (again!). This year I’ll be buying a new notebook and I was thinking about getting a MacBook. Good or not? I’ll be using it mostly for university, just for writing, programming (Java) and some designing. I’m just not that familiair with Apple and Mac OS X, just those 2 times sketching with Wacom in graphic arts class. Has anyone got it (or has everyone got it, except me?) and wants to share some good/bad experiences?
I’ve been reading some stuff about MacBook lately and the things that attract me are: the slim design, the speed (!), no viruses, the extra free software, works great with Photoshop (ha!), great screen colors etc. The bad points: I can throw away my Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash etc. and will have to buy a version for Mac :X and it has 2 (?!) USB ports.
But the thing I can really fangirl about is the size/weight of that tiny thing! I think my Fujitsu now is two times the weight of a MacBook. That will come handy during the frequent trips dorm-home o-o~ I-want-it-but-should-I-buy-it?
10 days in pouring rain.
4 comments so farHere are some pictures of my 10 days in Italy with school (18-28 March). We did have bad luck with the weather, especially in Rome. On Good Friday we visited the Colosseum at night (in pouring rain) and I got to see the Pope in his white tent, woohoo. Then we’ve waited for more than 3 hours to get in the Vatican Museum…in pouring rain again. The menu wasn’t really varied, we ate a LOT of pasta T T haha. But still it was a good learning experience. If you ever get the chance to visit Italy, don’t hesitate! ;D Viva Italia!

Helpless effort to breath.
1 comment so farNah. So this is just another discovery of mine. Wordpress it is called. I’m really not into blogging at all, but since I have this domain and I’m not going to do anything useful with it I thought I might just get this thing as a bloggish thing. So far I like. This one appeals to me more than LJ because of the nicer themes, lol. I like this abstractness.
I guess that was my first blabber. Oh boy.
